From Traditional To Transitional
Houston interior designer Saima Seyar of Elima Designs worked with Shashi Malkani to transform the room as a surprise gift. The two went to elaborate lengths to keep it a surprise, with Shashi telling his wife that Seyar was helping him with a fish tank.
Design With A Purpose
It was a pilot project meant to serve 140 families. It worked, and within a few years, Mohammed proposed something with a broader reach: a furniture bank with partner agencies whose clients could all be served. By 2003, the furniture bank had become an independent agency.

Attention To Details
Attention to intricate details to complete a design, establishes an individual unique statement for each home. For instance, a custom designed embroidery for a window treatment and pillows can be hand drawn to correlate with a home’s theme. The window treatments and pillows can then be embroidered in, say, silk thread on ultra-suede, to give a contrast of textures.
